    The Paramount's neighbor is a green terracotta building that was made roughly the same time as the theater itself.
    The El Capitan Theatre in the Mission District in San Francisco, opened on June 29, 1928.  In the 1960's, they hollowed out the building and turned it into a parking garage.  I guess you have to desecrate a theater, that's a unique way to do it.
