Though it was built in 1929, the Empire Theatre didn't open until 1930. It replaced the Elite Theatre, which replaced the previous Empire Theatre. It closed in the late 1990's when a multiplex opened up in town. Though it's now an antique store, the inside is still recognizable as a theater.
